Marshall Terrill is America’s foremost historian-author on Steve McQueen, having published seven books about McQueen’s life, which resulted in the 2017 feature documentary entitled “Steve McQueen American Icon.” His 2010 book “Steve McQueen: The Life and Legend of a Hollywood Icon” has been optioned for a dramatic series. In 2022, he launched True Tales of the Southwest, LLC, a documentary production company, with two other partners. Their first endeavor is a docuseries on a serial killer from the 1960s. October will see the release of “Johnny Cash: The Redemption of an American Icon,” a feature documentary in which he executive produced

Terrill’s other books include biographies of country music legend Johnny Cash; Pete Maravich, one of the greatest basketball players in NCAA history; Ruth Pointer of the Pointer Sisters; Ken Norton, former heavyweight champion of the world, and three books on Elvis Presley. Terrill has written a total of 30 books in all.

Terrill and Don Jeffries primarily discussed his latest book, “Lennon, Dylan, Alice & Jesus” written by evangelist Greg Laurie, which examines the Christian faith of rock stars.
